Satis House Hotel, Yoxford, Suffolk
An 18th century grade II listed house, set in 3 acres of grounds, is referred to by Charles Dickens in Great Expectations. Satis means "whoever lives here could wish for nothing more" according to Pip in the book.
Elegant public rooms with many original features. The 8 bedrooms vary in size but all are individually decorated and furnished. The Malaysian cuisine is particularly noteworthy.
