The Pickerings, was built before 1795 and was used as a private dwelling. In 1978 it was established as a hotel and became known as 'The Pickerings'. The Hotel was extended in 1989 and now has some twelve bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms. Pickerings Hotel is set in its own grounds with many mature trees and interesting gardens, gaining a 'Best Kept Hotel' Award in 1998.
Garstang is situated midway between Preston and Lancaster and boasts a wealth of old buildings, numerous Weinds and a market, which dates back to the reign of King Edward II.
